"We only operated about half time and we were able to really enjoy
the contest. 10 meters was a complete washout. 15 meters was slow,
and 160 meters was very noisy. 20 meters and 40 meters were bottomless
pits of DX but QRM was bad because everyone was packed into two bands.
Next year we will hopefully have sunspots again and we can work some
JAs on 15 meters and 10 meters!" - W5VX
"After missing CQ World Wide Phone this year, I really was looking
forward to the CW weekend. Despite the worst conditions on ten meters
in the 20+ years I've made a serious effort in this contest, it was
still a great weekend." - N5AW
"I believe that my days of operating 42 to 44 hours in a single op
contest are over. It is too much of a physical strain, and takes
too many days to do. One day of rest to get ready, two days of
contesting, and two days to recover. I would like to see a 36 hour
limit for single op entries. I don't expect to see it soon, if ever.
I'm reducing my operating time to 24 to 36 hours for all future single
op entries. No strain this weekend operating 27 hours, and I feel fine
this morning." - K5YA
