"20 meters was a madhouse and almost impossible for us to do much, especially
to Europe through the East Coast. Every frequency was already four deep with
stations and if we called CQ, it was unlikely that we could copy anyone who
called us. Our crew tried hard to make something happen on 20 meters, but
we just couldn't get the job done. I think the guys did as good as it was
possible to do with the hardware they had available." - K5NA
"Working Europe on 20 meters through the East Coast under these conditions
is pure torture. I probably spent too much time on 15 meters and 10 meters
as a result, but I just couldn't take any more of it on 20 meters. It was
frustrating that multipliers were also down on the low bands compared to
my last all-band phone effort in 2004." - N5AW
"I almost lost it last night when the connector came off of my Double Bazooka
antenna and I had to go out at 2:00 AM CST to repair it, but repaired it I
did and on with the rest to make four Japanese contacts immedialty afterwards.
Well worth the effort with the flashlight!" - AD5VJ
