Nothing obviously related to Amateur Radio tower or antenna construction
appears in the online Georgetown Code of Ordinances.
Of interest to Amateur Radio operators living in Georgetown is a
provision in the city ordinances regarding cable television (CATV) systems
and radio frequency intereference (RFI): (Ord. 880012.23.03 Art. II, §2)
E. Radio frequency leakage shall be checked at reception locations for
emergency radio services to prove no interference signal combinations are
possible. Stray radiation shall be measured adjacent to any proposed
aeronautical navigation radio sites to prove no interference to airborne
navigational reception in the normal flight patterns in accordance with
FCC Rules and Regulations.
